Xbox 360 Slim (aka Xbox 360 S)

A quick note about the Xbox 360 Slim which is also known as Xbox 360 S. All of the bundles below all include the new Xbox 360 S console that was released in the summer of 2010. The Xbox 360 Slim includes:

  • Built in Wireless N (which is backwards compatible with Wireless G technology)
  • 5 USB Ports for controllers and accessories
  • A combined CPU/GPU – this is what makes it require less power and thus is quieter than previous Xbox models
  • Xbox 360 Composite A/V cable (standard definition)
  • One month of Xbox Live
  • 1 year warranty
  • For 250 GB Consoles – 1 Black Wireless Controller
  • For 4GB Consoles – 1 Black Wired Controller

Gears of War 3 Limited Edition Xbox 360 Console Bundle

Epic Games in partnership with Microsoft released a new bundle based on the Gears of War franchise. You can read more details about the Gears of War 3 Limited Edition Bundle in our detailed post. Highlights include a 320GB hard drive, custom Gears of War 3 crimson paint job of both the console and controllers, and all the other features of the Xbox 360 Slim. Our rating 5/5

 

 

 

Kinect Starwars Limited Edition Xbox 360 Console Kinect Starwars Limited Edition Xbox 360 Console Bundle

Lucas Arts in partnership with Microsoft announced the release of a new bundle based on the upcoming release of Starwars Kinect. This bundle is slated to be released sometime in the holiday of 2011 and includes the Kinect sensor as well as a 320GB hard drive. It also comes with a copy of Kinect Star Wars, a gold C-3Po controller and a R2-D2 painted console. You can read our detailed write up about the console here. 2010 Bundles

Xbox 360 Slim 2010 Holiday Bundle

This years 2010 Holiday Bundle includes a Xbox 360 slim (aka Xbox 360 s) 250GB without Kinect.. It comes packed with Alan Wake and Forza Motorsport 3 which in our opinion is an amazing bundle from what has been offered in past holiday bundles. This bundle comes kinect-ready, and is whisper quiet compared to the previous Xbox 360 models. Our rating: 5/5

 

 

 

Xbox 360 Slim 4GB Console without Kinect

This is the plain-jane Xbox 360 Slim 4GB which replaces the old Core/Arcade models. The Xbox 360 4GB Console comes with one wired controller, wireless 802.11n built-in, is kinect ready, and is whisper quiet much like all other new Xbox 360 slim models. Be forewarned that 4GB of space isn’t much if you plan on watching movies or music via Xbox Live, so we’d highly recommend getting an Xbox 360 250GB Hard Drive at some point. 4GB of space is good for save games, but that’s about it. Our rating: 4/5 (only because of hard drive space issues)

 

 

Xbox 360 250GB Console with Kinect

This is the flag ship Xbox 360 slim console which includes Microsoft’s latest Kinect bundle and 250 GB hard drive. Run and jump in your living room as you become the controller. This also comes with Kinect Adventures. Our rating: 5/5

 

 


Xbox 360 250GB Console without Kinect

This is the same as the 250GB console with Kinect, only without it. This is still an amazing console utilizing the newer Xbox 360 S format which runs quieter and cooler than previous Xbox 360 models. Our rating: 5/5

 

 

 

Xbox 360 4GB Console with Kinect

This is the same Xbox 360 console as the 250GB versions with the omission of a 250GB Hard drive. This console has 4GB of on-board flash memory which is likely just enough for some game saves and music, but not nearly enough to copy full games to the hard drive for faster loading or a lot of HD Movie watching. This also includes the Kinect sensor. Our rating: 4/5
